  • Where's the nearest public transport?
    We’re delighted you’re looking at this question. We encourage as many people as possible who run or attend events to travel by public transport. The following buses stop almost outside the Town Hall. Lothian 12, 19, 21, 26 and 49 Edinburgh Brunstane Railway station is 1.1 miles away Edinburgh Waverley Railway station is 3.3 miles away (this connects with some of the buses above)
  • Do you have parking?
    We have a small amount of onsite parking. This is mainly used by event hirers to set up and break down from their events. We have a disabled parking space. There is on street parking locally and a small public car park on Pipe Street
  • Is there a good place nearby for photos?
    Portobello beach is only 0.2 miles away and is a perfect setting for all photos.
  • What time would our function have to finish?
    11pm
  • Can I set up the day before?
    Please enquire at the time of the booking.
  • Where are the nearest hotels?
    There are several hotels, including a Best Western and Premier Inn within a couple of miles of the venue. There are also various guest houses within one mile.
  • Is there disabled access?
    The Main Hall has disabled access, however, the Upper Hall is on an upper level and this is not suitable for disabled access as there is no lift.
  • Do you have sound and lighting options?
    There is a 8 channel sound system; stage lighting on three bars; 8 theatre lamps in front of house; and a dimmer rack.
  • Do you have a supplier list?
    Yes we do.
  • Are there kitchen facilities?
    There is a kitchen with fridges, cooker and an urn which is available for people hiring The Main Hall. (There is no kitchen for the Upper Hall).
